Sheggz sends legal notice to Bella amid split

“Stop Making False, Defamatory Statements About Me And My Family,” the legal demand reads, targeting a former reality‑TV partner amid a highly publicized split.

Cease‑and‑desist letter delivered to the ex‑partner

The document, dated August 21, 2026, instructs the woman to “immediately cease and desist from granting interviews to anyone on any platform whatsoever, or making, publishing, and assigning anyone to make any or all defamatory and false statements concerning our client Mr. Segun Olusemo (SHEGZ), his siblings, and all his family members.”

Lawyers for the former contestant reportedly issued the demand after a series of media exchanges that turned personal. The letter is a pre‑litigation request; it does not carry the force of a court injunction.

Authenticity has not been confirmed through a filing or an official comment from the firm cited. As such, the notice remains an alleged legal step rather than a verified court order.

Conflicting public accounts from the former couple

In a televised interview, the man said the union ended in January 2026 when attempts at reconciliation failed. He denied any infidelity or abusive conduct and said he had stayed single since the separation, noting that he once considered marriage and even bought an engagement ring.

Okagbue later broke her silence, explaining that she initially kept the matter private because “some matters should remain private.” She added that her quiet stance should not be read as an admission of wrongdoing and that she had genuinely loved the partnership.

She claimed she gave the other party another chance, believing people could change, but insisted that hope does not obligate anyone to wait indefinitely. She also suggested that public perception can differ sharply from private experience.

According to her, the desire for marriage was not desperation, and a ring could not fix deeper problems that had already rendered the union untenable. Repeated promises, she said, lost weight compared with what she observed day‑to‑day, leading her to prioritize peace, self‑respect, and personal judgment.

Both sides have cited private WhatsApp screenshots that surfaced online. One excerpt alleges a debt of ₦11 million owed by the man, while other messages discuss expectations, alleged cheating, manipulation, and toxic behaviour. The authenticity of the images has not been independently verified, nor has any court confirmed the debt.

While the cease‑and‑desist seeks to halt further commentary, it does not itself prove that any unlawful conduct occurred.

At present, no judicial order restrains the woman from speaking about the man or his relatives, and no court has ruled on any alleged slander, cyberbullying, or the purported debt. Likewise, no legal finding has confirmed accusations of infidelity, abuse, or manipulation.

The two individuals first met during the 2022 season of Big Brother Naija Level Up. Their split has produced sharply divergent narratives: one party cites a breakdown of trust and respect, while the other emphasizes unmet promises and a desire for personal dignity.
